New Look. Same Nerds.
You may have noticed something different around here lately. No, we haven’t lost weight (thanks a lot, quarantine). But we do have some big news about our business. Tax Services of Londonderry is now AccountAbility! You know those weird parents that change their baby’s name after they’ve already put it on the birth certificate and sent out the birth announcements? That’s us; we’re those weird parents. But hear us out before you mommy shame us…
Creating and running a business is much like having a baby in so many ways. When our baby, Tax Services of Londonderry, was born nearly 20 years ago, we were right in the middle of a busy tax season. And instead of spending too much time focusing on a name or brand, we were focused on providing excellent service for our clients and generally just trying to figure out how to be business owners on the fly. But boy, wouldn’t it have been convenient if there were books out there full of cute business names just like those ones for babies?
As any parent knows, that first year is all consuming. Your main goal is just to keep that baby alive whatever it takes. And that’s exactly what we did. There were a lot of sleepless nights, but thankfully not too many diaper changes. We proudly watched our baby grow and reach milestones with teary eyes. And when we reached that first birthday, we gave ourselves a big old pat on the back and enjoyed a slice of cake.
As time went on and our baby got older, there came new challenges that required a different skill set and support. Just like teething, potty training, sending your kids off to school for the first time, our business faced difficult obstacles that we had to work hard to overcome. But we did it and here we are today introducing you to our grown up baby.
Just like raising an actual human being, raising a business takes a village. If you are looking at starting your own business, be sure to seek help and find support from those around you so that you can start off on the right foot. We are honored to be that support system for you. Unlike the early days of our business, we want you to get a good night’s sleep knowing that your baby is well taken care of by our team.
Even though we’ve grown up and look a little different, we’re still the same old nerds you know and love.
